Repeater News

The MOARC/CNYARC Repeater 145.210 with a PL 71.9 is back on the air. Take the time to try it out again. We know the footprint is reaching Rome NY and other areas so give it a try have a QSO with a friend or whomever might be listening.

The repeater is identifying as W2MO/R2 and is working on both Analog and Digital (Yaesu Fusion). Let’s get some use out of it again now that it’s up on the air and in a new location. This will be the new location for the repeater the antenna isn’t very high, but the coverage is decent and the antenna placement is only temporary right now.

Club News Update

As of January 1st, 2023, the Madison-Oneida Amateur Radio Club and the Central New York Amateur Radio Club will have merged into one club. That club will continue to be known as the Madison-Oneida Amateur Radio Club. Both clubs will be united under that name. Both clubs made this decision throughout 2023 as they have been meeting together and working toward that common goal.

The reason for joining the two clubs was mutual needs and the ability to grow a stronger, healthier club from the two. This provides a stronger group of radio operators for multiple event handling, ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Services), and RACES (Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Services).

The two clubs are looking forward to the new year and combining our strengths into one stronger healthier club. This will be an interesting and wonderful year and we look forward to having you join us for a meeting and seeing what we are all about.
